Project Manager II Institution:Tulane University Location:New Orleans, LA Category:Admin - Information Technology - IT Manager/Director Posted:04/28/2021 Type:Full-Time Notes: MILITARY VP Technology/Infrastructure Location: New Orleans, LA Summary As a member of an agile development team, the Project Manager 2 will independently plan, track, and report on the progress of technology solutions for Tulane University. The Project Manager 2 is independent, reliable, works well in a team, completes tasks on time, and shows a desire to learn. The Project Manager 2 guides the project delivery team on using Agile/Scrum practices throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager 2 communicates proactively with all involved personnel, identifies problems, create solutions, and implements efficiency improvements. The Project Manager 2 facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, and provides support to the team by assisting with internal and external communication. The Project Manager 2 anticipates future project needs by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both non-technical end-users and technical staff Ability to schedule and facilitate productive meetings and drive outcomes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Excellent organization, problem solving, and planning skills. Ability to interface with executives and stakeholders regarding issues of project scope and status. Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental design and development. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints. Demonstrated conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to solve problems, make decisions, and lead projects with minimal direction. Project planning skills to support full resource utilization. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development principles. Knowledge of requirements-management and capacity planning tools to assist with scrum team planning (Jira, Rally/Central Agile, Version1, etc.). Demonstrated adept analytical problem decomposition to create requirements documents. Required Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 2 years of technology-related work experience OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and 6 years of technology-related work experience Compensation Information This position is assigned to pay grade P3.26PREM.
